Major Objectives and Activities of Science Park:

Celebration of National Science Day on 28 Feb 2009 in Science Park, Jaipur

Rajasthan was actively engaged in celebrating National Science Day (NSD) at State level on 28th Feb 2009.

National Science Day is being celebrated every year on the 28th February to commemorate the discovery of the "RAMAN EFFECT" by Sir C.V.RAMAN for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize. The celebration is aimed at focussing attention on Indian Science and Scientists and their role in India's development .

 

 Major Attraction : Exhibition on Human Genome & Beyond

 

ü     Inauguration on 4th Mar 08

ü     Developed by National Council of Science Museums, Kolkatta

ü     Display of various facets related to human genome through exhibits and interactive models

ü     Exhibits of Genetic Printer, DNA's the wonder molecule, identify your DNA, Secretes of Genes, language of life, DNA Sequencing, human genome initiatives in India., Panel Board of DNA identity and Gene splicing exhibits.

 

 Workshop on repair & maintenance of household equipments  at Science Park

A  workshop in the technical association of Government ITI, Jaipur was held at Science Park Jaipur from  12th June 2006 to 11th July 2006 for imparting training on household equipments' repair & maintenance. The workshop aimed to  make female participants aware about the safety measures to be followed while handling the equipments viz. electric kettle, oven, mixers, irons, hot plates, heaters, geysers etc. In this one month programme, participants were  trained to repair these equipments.

“A Bhai Jara Dekh ke Chalo” documentary film show for slum resident kids at Science Park

A 20 minute documentary film for promotion of Traffic Sense & Awareness was shown on large screen to the kids of slum area, who were visiting Science Park under a program conducted by an NGO on June 8, 2006.The film showed how dangerous it is to be careless on road .

 

Basic Life Saving Techniques training camps

One hour programme was organised by the department to train the participants (about 100 in number) regarding life saving techniques during Accidents/Electrocution/drowning with special reference to functioning of brain, lungs & heart under such situations . CPR techniques were demonstrated on mannequin followed by physical training of participants for resuscitation and cardiac massage .
