Procedure :
Under this programme the department invites R&D projects proposals; preferably from the disciplines of Agriculture, Engineering, Biotechnology, Energy, Environment, Health & Hygiene, Life Science, Natural Resource Management, Remote Sensing Techniques etc.
These application oriented R&D projects are entertained through out the year.
The priority is given to those projects which are focused to provide solutions to the problems of burning issues of the state.
After preliminary scrutiny, expert opinion is solicited.
There after, these projects are placed before the Expert Advisory Committee (EAC) for seeking their recommendations. For granting the financial assistance, projects are sent to obtain administrative & financial approval of the Government on the basis of the recommendation of EAC .
Project Period : 2 - 3 years
§Objective :
Based on solution to the basic and fundamental problems arising in the state i.e. Safe potable water, Reducing poverty, Drudgery removal, Income generation, Use of industrial waste, Guinea worms, Fluorosis etc. For Improvement or development of new technologies which are more effective, less time and energy consuming.
- Project Period :
6 months to 2 years.

How to apply ?
Five
copies of the project proposal in prescribed format should be submitted
along with endorsement from the Head of the institution.

Aims & Objectives

To create scientific atmosphere & to bring out the results of various Scientific/R&D projects, the department provides common platform for the scientists of the state. |
|
|
For this workshops/seminars/conferences etc. either organized or catalytic grant is provided by the department for such type of activities. |
|
|
Information so exchanged, helps in updating the knowledge of development, occurred in various fields of Science & Technology. |
|
|
Apart from this, assistance is also provided for organizing users workshops to disseminate the outcomes of the departmentally funded projects. |

Guidelines for Selection of Projects
|
|
The project should be relevant to the basic needs and social priorities of the state such as food, shelter, clothing, health, education, transport, communication, environment and pollution etc. |
|
|
It may be related to the needs of the rural and urban poor and to employment generation and removal of drudgery. |
|
|
Project Duration : Maximum one year |
|
|
Extent of Financial Assistance - Not exceeding Rs. 10000/- (Rs. Ten thousand). |
Objective
To ensure that "Young Scientist" of the state get the appropriate encouragement for the participation in science & technology activities, the department awards fellowship to carryout collaborative research / undergoing training in specific technique / to utilize the facilities not available in their institutions.
Period :
The fellowship duration ranges for a period of 2
to 6 months in a outstanding laboratory or research institution located in or outside the state.

Grant provided : Honorarium - Rs. 2500/- p.m. in addition to the scientists own salary from his parent institution |

Travel - One to and fro travel expenses by 1st class train/bus from place of employment. |

Academic Qualifications

Masters
Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent or Ph.D in Science or Technology or
equivalent or M.D.Degree in Medicine or equivalent. |
Employment

A regular
position in a recognized S&T institutions, University, or in a college located in the
Rajasthan state. Candidates must be officially sponsored (their applications to be
formally forwarded) through employer/Head of the institution. |
Place of work

The fellow should be acceptable to the host institution for which a letter of acceptance should be enclosed with the application. |

Fluorosis is one of the major endemic problem in the state.
An Applied Research Centre has been established in S.M.S. Medical college, Jaipur.
The centre would establishes a link
