State Council on Science & Technology as an advisory body was also constituted under the Chairmanship of Hon'ble Chief Minister in 1983.

Under aegis of Department of Science & Technology, Rajasthan Council of Science & Technology (RAJCOST) established in year 1993 with an objective to give impetus to the S&T activities in the state.
