Entrepreneurship Development Division
Objectives
Generating "self employment" and to develop the spirit of self reliance among the S&T personals with special reference to youths & rural masses
Creating awareness among S&T persons, motivating them to choose entrepreneurship as a career and to provide support in establishing them over SSI units.
As per the national policy eradicating poverty & removal of drudgery, GOI has launched Entrepreneurship Development Programmes under guidance and assistance of National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, New Delhi.
Activities :
To achieve the goal various programmes are organised as follows :-
Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP)
Skill Development Programme
Rural Entrepreneurship Development Programme
Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps (EAC)
Entrepreneurship Motivation Camps (EMC)
in various districts of state through Head Quarter, located at Jaipur and its regional offices functioning at Jodhpur, Bikaner, Udaipur, Kota and Ajmer.
PROGRAMMES
With the prevailing concept, that Entrepreneurs are not only born but can also be identified, trained and created through intensive training under EDP. At present, Department is acting as coordinating agency between NSTEDB, Govt. of India and the professional institutions in the state. In this programme intensive Technical Training is being imparted for setting up SSI units.
Objectives :
Efforts are being made to organize result oriented activities by involving small scale
industrial sector of the state as well as financial institutions for tapping
natural/financial resources available within the State. Thus, enable to generate
"Self Employment" opportunities and generate a feeling of "SELF
RELIANCE" among youths.
Organizing links :
Entrepreneurship Development Programmes are organized by department through various
agencies like Birla Technical Training Institute Pilani, RUDSET, LUPIN, EMI
those can contribute 50% of the total programme cost.
Duration : This intensive training programme is of 4/6 weeks .
Who can participate :
All students/persons from the faculties of science/technology.
For Skill Development Progamme or EDP on specific subject, student of Industrial Training Institute/Recognized Institute of specific branches may be considered or specified for the particular programme.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARENESS CAMPS
Objectives :
To create awareness amongst youths of the State having Science & Technological
background to opt entrepreneurship as career.
Target group :
Student of Educational
Institutions/colleges of the State studying in the final year.
Duration : 3 days
As entrepreneurship plays vital role, its now recognized that Entrepreneurship is not solely an inherent quality, it can also be inspired/instilled/inculcated in a person.
Objectives :
In order to motivate people/youths to opt Entrepreneurship as their career, Department
organizes Entrepreneurship Motivation Camps at different Educational Institutions or any
other prominent places in various districts of the State through Regional offices
of the Department functioning in the State.
Duration : One day
Who can
participate : All persons/youths having S&T background or student in final year Degree/Diploma
of Polytechnic, Engineering College and various Educational
Institutions/Colleges.
